Velie, Alan

Alan Velie holds a Ph.D. from Stanford University and is the David Ross Boyd Professor at the University of Oklahoma. He is the author of Shakespeare's Repentance Plays: The Search for an Adequate Form and Four American Indian Literary Masters: A Study of James Welch. Scott Momaday. Gerald Vizenor and Leslie Silko. Velie has edited The Lightning Within: American Indian Literature, an Anthology of traditional and contemporary Indian literature; and Native American Perspectives on Literature and History.
