York Van Nixon III is a Jones-Haywood classically trained dancer, who traded his ballet slippers for a ballpoint pen after he discovered walking with Multiple Sclerosis on his shoulders was harder than supporting a ballerina en pointe. Missing Steps was first published 2007. Since then, York has published hundreds of articles and written a second novel: A Sparrow Loves Yew, to be released in 2014.
