Valentien, Alexandra

Born of Canadian parents in China, where she spent part of her childhood, the author otherwise grew up in Canada. Journalism was her first profession. Later, in Scotland, she lived and worked in a home school for children with handicaps. From here she moved with her husband to southern Germany, where she still lives and which is the setting for this book.
