Dan Turpen, father and grandfather, lives with his wife near Bloomington, Indiana. The author was in the U.S.Army during the Vietnam War. After military service, he taught in a public high school, served as an insurance agent, automobile sales manger and newspaper columnist. He is now retired and enjoys riding a bicycle, gardening, reading and writing. "Ogden's Story," a melding of characters and events gleaned from the author's experiences and interactions, is his first work of fiction.
