Claudia Turner was born in Baltimore, Maryland. She earned a B.S. from Bates College, an M.S. from The Pennsylvania State University and a PhD from The Johns Hopkins University. At various times, she has been an athlete, a teacher, and a scientist. In this latter capacity, Claudia spent much of her life conducting and evaluating research. This, along with her baby boomer roots, provided the basis for writing her first novel, Scars and Stripes Forever. Claudia lives in Massachusetts.
