M. Therese Casey Tseng was born in Windsor, Canada, an automobile-manufacturing city coupled with Hiram Walker. Her large French Canadian family eventually moved to Georgetown, Ontario where she graduated from Georgetown High School. Before moving off on her own to Montreal, she and her brother Wayne hitchhiked out West for the summer where they met draft dodgers who crossed over to avoid conscription to Vietnam.
