Travanca, Hugo

Hugo Travanca is an independent visual artist who works in painting, illustration, and in some specific areas of graphic design. He resides in Sintra and is currently writing a PhD thesis (University of Barcelona), wherein he explores the concept of illustrative style in painting as contemporary pictorial vanguard. He believes that an image is always a false thing and starts to consider that the falsehood of a created image is only possible because it has an inspiration source, which is called false "reality."
