Jack Day was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsilvania, served in the US Army as a MP (military police), and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Lake Forest College, Lake Forest, Illinois. He worked in investment banking before moving to Bozeman, Montana, where he began selling business forms and systems for Professional Business Forms Service. He purchased a portion of PBFS from them and started his own company, Creative Business Designs, creating, designing, and selling business forms and promotional printing to clients throughout the region.
