After earning her Ph.D. in philosophy, Donna Benedetti taught philosophy to university and college students, and worked for gun control and youth violence prevention for many years. It was enough to convince her that developing life-long habits of questioning and sound reasoning must begin for all children at the earliest age possible. She now enjoys teaching critical thinking and reading in San Francisco. In 2012, she published TipTop Thinkamajigs and The Brooklyn Diet: Life's Tough But You Eat Anyway. She and her husband, Samuel Bloom, make their home in San Francisco.
