Thompson, Phillip

Phillip Thompson grew up in rural East Mississippi, where most of his fiction is set. A combat veteran, journalist, speechwriter and consultant, he is the author of two novels, "Enemy Within "and "A Simple Murder," and one non-fiction book, "Into the Storm: A U.S. Marine in the Persian Gulf War." His short fiction has appeared in The Review, the literary journal of the Veterans Writing Project. He attended the Bread Loaf Writers Conference in 2003. He lives in Stafford, Virginia.
