Thomas, Michael A.

Michael Thomas was born in Raton, NM in 1946. His early novels (CROSSWINDS and the award-winning OSTRICH) established a comic direction he continues in his later novels, HAT DANCE and BUTTERFLY KISSES. An Anthropologist with research interests in Mesoamerica, Dr. Thomas for years directed the University of New Mexico=s CONEXIONES study abroad programs in Mexico. As a writer of fiction, Thomas was named in Barnes and Noble's Discover Great New Writers program and has short fiction nominations for the Pushcart Prize.
