Jeanine Tesori wrote the score for Thoroughly Modern Millie, which won the 2002 Tony and Drama Desk Awards for Best Musical, and earned her a Tony and Grammy nomination. She also scored Nicholas Hytner's production of Twelfth Night at Lincoln Center Theater, for which she received a 1999 Drama Desk Award and her first Tony nomination. Ms. Tesori won wide acclaim for Violet, produced at Playwrights Horizons. Violet was named Best Musical by the NY Drama Critics Circle and the Lucille Lortel Awards, and Ms. Tesori received an Obie Award for her music. For films, Ms. Tesori has written songs for
