Kelli Tennant is a former University of Southern California women's volleyball player. In 2007, she co-captained the team and led them to an NCAA semifinal appearance. Following that season, she retired from volleyball, as she was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. As Kelli made her transition from athlete to "normal student," she experienced a great deal of despair, loss and sadness.
