John M. Templeton, Jr., M.D., is chairman and president of the John Templeton Foundation. He received a B.A. from Yale University and M.D. from Harvard Medical School, and he was board certified in pediatric surgery and surgical critical care. His medical career spanned thirty-one years, including thirteen years with the trauma program at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. He continues today as adjunct professor of pediatric surgery, University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.
