D. Edgar Taylor is the founder of Information World, Inc. He is a former network architect for IBM, where he designed large heterogeneous networks. He has served as a consultant to such firms as NEC, BASF, Chrysler, Hewlett-Packard, Dow Jones, Ore-Ida Foods, Mutual of New York (MONY), IBM Education, and Orange County, California. His popular book The McGraw-Hill Internetworking Handbook has recently been published in Japanese.
