Tanner, Lynette A.

Lynette Tanner and her husband own Frogmore Plantation, which is also a working cotton plantation and gin, as well as Terre Noir, a second plantation in Concordia Parish. Frogmore, which Rand McNally selected as a "Must See Site" in the South/Southeast, offers tours written by Tanner that feature slave life on a working plantation; she is writing a fifth tour especially for Viking Cruise Lines. Tanner has received numerous awards for her preservation efforts and her promotion of Louisiana tourism.
