Peng George Wang obtained his B.S. degree in Chemistry from Nankai University, China in 1984 and his Ph.D. degree in organic chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley in 1990. He then conducted postdoctoral research at the Scripps Research Institute and in 1994 became an Assistant Professor at the University of Miami. From 1997 to 2003, he was a faculty member of Wayne State University.
