After receiving her Master's Degree in Education, Pamela Myers became involved in the development of the Elementary Program at the San Francisco School, an independent school in San Francisco, where she taught First Grade for forty years. As a sabbatical project in 1995 she used her (then) 26 years of experience teaching reading, to write The Adventures of the Wood Elves in collaboration with artist Augusta Talbot, who did the captivating watercolor illustrations.
