Tornqvist, Marit

Marit Trnqvist was born in Sweden but moved to the Netherlands as a child and later studied illustration at the Rietveld Acadamie in Amsterdam. Just after completing her studies she had the opportunity to work as an illustrator with the writer Astrid Lindgren and has since designed the three dimensional "journey" through Astrid Lindgren's work at the Junibacken children's cultural centre in Stockholm. Marit Trnqvist uses a variety of materials and blend of techniques, though her favourite is painting with acryl-gouache, ink and ecoline.
