Surrey, Ellen

Ellen is a Los Angeles-based illustrator with a love of all things nostalgic. In 2014 she graduated with distinction from Art Center College of Design. She grew up in Los Angeles, California, where she developed a love for the history of the city. Today that love can be seen in her work, where she often references old Hollywood, California Modernism, and classic Disney. Ellen also draws inspiration from vintage children s books, especially the Little Golden Book series. AMMO s Mid-Century Modern Women In The Visual Arts is her first illustrated book.
