Dr. S. Surendran., M.A., M.Phil., MSW., Ph.D., is presently is the Associate Professor and Head of the department of Sociology in South Travancore Hindu College, Nagercoil, Kanyakumari District. He has over fifteen years of teaching and research experience. He was awarded Ph.D by Manonmaniam Sundaranar University for his thesis on Gerontology during 2008. His field of interest is on Medical Sociology, Social Problems and Social Gerontology of Tamilnadu. Some of his papers were published in National journals of Sociology.
