Margarita Suner is Professor of Linguistics at Cornell University, where she also directed the undergraduate Spanish program for 22 years. She received her Ph.D. from Indiana University. Her research interests include theoretical syntax, the characterization of different dialects and languages through syntactic correlates, and the properties of empty categories and agreement processes.
