Suhor, Charles

Suhor started drumming on boxes at age 12 to accompany his brother Don, a fine jazz reedman. Cited by Bill Huntington as "one of the best modern drummers of the fifties" in New Orleans, Suhor's early musical experiences ranged widely. During a subsequent career as an English teacher, he played on weekends and was a prolific writer in both jazz journalism and education. He is currently a freelance consultant, writer, speaker, and musician.
