Born in Buffalo, New York, American author Francis Hamilton Striker created some of the most indelible characters present in pop culture today, including The Lone Ranger and The Green Hornet, both of which have enjoyed tremendous success on broadcast radio and television, in comic books, and as film adaptations and novelizations. A prolific writer, Striker once produced 156 Lone Ranger scripts in a single year, while simultaneously writing stories for The Green Hornet, submitting comic strips and working on novelizations of The Lone Ranger.
