Jim Sargent experienced 75 percent of the 20th century. He has met cantankerous animals, lovable animals, been stuck in gumbo, attended a one-room school, learned to work, learned to play, fulfilled his parent's dreams of a college education, and missed becoming a rancher. His second career with higher education afforded him wonderful opportunities and set the stage for him to write this book and a couple of others.
