Glenis lives in Lancashire with her husband and two black cats. She began writing when her daughter died in 1999. At first it served to help her with her loss but, in time, she began to enjoy writing for its own sake. After taking several online writing courses with the, sadly now defunct, trAce writing school, she then took Manchester Metropolitan University's MA Creative Writing (online) course, graduating in July 2006. She has had a variety of jobs ranging from radiographer to working on a young person's helpline. Now she doesn't go out to work but having recently moved to the seaside, she
