Gregory B. Stone is Professor of French, Italian, and Comparative Literature at LSU, where he teaches medieval and Renaissance literature and the history of literary criticism and theory. He currently serves as Director of LSU's Program in Comparative Literature. He is the author of two previous books, "The Death of the Troubadour: The Late Medieval Resistance to the Renaissance "(1994) and "The Ethics of Nature in the Middle Ages: On Boccaccio's Poetaphysics" (1998).
