Stockdell, Bruce

Stockdell worked his way through engineering school at Purdue University. He was drafted into the Army in World War II and immediately asked for Aviation Cadet training. He was assigned to basic training in Field Artillery then directly into Field Artillery Officer Candidate School. Half way through basic training he was offered a chance to apply for Aviation Cadet training and took it. He acquired a B.S. in Air Transportation Engineering and a M.S. in Industrial Administration both from Purdue University.
