Sheila Stewart grew up in Stratford, Waterloo, and Montreal, Her poetry has appeared in numerous literary journals including The Antigonish Review, Descant, Fireweed, Grain, The Malahat Review, and The Windsor Review. Her work has been anthologized in A Room at the Heart of Things: The Work That Came to Me, edited by Elisabeth Harvor. She won the 2000 Pottersfield Portfolio Short Poem Competition. Sheila lives in Toronto and works on adult literacy issues at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto.
