John Stewart was raised near Winnipeg Canada. Drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins NHL he played professional hockey for eight years. In 1977 John accepted Jesus Christ alone for eternal life. He graduated from seminary in 1988 and served as a pastor for fifteen years. During this time he planted two Biblebelieving churches and founded Lamplighters International where he now serves as executive director. John continues to write and speak nationally on the subject of making disciples.
