Born in Lancashire, Gill-Marie lived in Yorkshire and Cheshire until the age of 15, when her family moved to South Africa. At the age of 21 she moved to France, and then tried Zimbabwe before finding the perfect country: Scotland. Despite the mixed weather she thinks this is the best place to live, especially if you're on a farm beside a forest with 4 dogs, 3 cats and many chickens. As well as writing and dog-walking, she works part-time in the NHS and help my husband run his own business. She has four romantic novellas published under the pen-name Gillian Villiers.
