Author: Mindy Stevenson is an avid horsewoman who also loves sharing stories about horses and animals with children. She rode open jumpers, team ropes and was one of the first woman jockeys in the world to ride race horses on recognized tracks. Her love for children motivated her to operate a therapeutic riding center for more than 18 years at her home in Oklahoma.
