Born August 18, 1951, Jeff Steinberg faced life with little hope - no arms and badly deformed legs. His mother did not learn about his disabilities until he was 17 months old and she did not see him until he was almost two years old, since Jeffrey was in a Children's Shelter. He spent much of his early years in hospitals where he underwent orthopedic surgery, learned to walk with a brace and was fitted with his first prosthetic arm.
