Stein, Jim

Jim Stein is a Professor of Mathematics at California State University in Long Beach. A graduate of Yale University with a doctorate from the University of California at Berkeley, Jim has written 30 technical articles on mathematics and several books explaining mathematics for general audiences. Jim has also conducted conferences for the National Science Foundation and served on textbook adoption committees for the state of California. He has been an advisor on mathematical education at both the state and national level.
