Leiann Heid Nelson lives in Missouri and likes to weave farm life and agriculture into her stories because she believes it is important for people to understand where their food comes from. Her volunteer activities have included several years as a 4-H project leader, coaching boys soccer, teaching literacy, and coordinating volunteers for church and the public schools.
