Catherine Avery St. Jean grew up on the Mississippi River in Dubuque, Iowa. She is the oldest of eight kids, six brothers. She most recently graduated from CUNY with a Masters Degree in Elementary Educations and is licensed by the State of New York to teach. She graduated with a BA in Communication Arts from Loyola University in Chicago before starting a career in advertising.
