David W. Springer (PhD, LCSW), is the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, Graduate Advisor, and a University Distinguished Teaching Professor in the School of Social Work at the University of Texas at Austin, where he also holds a joint appointment with the Department of Psychology. Dr. Springer has conducted research funded by the National Institute of Mental Health, the National Institute on Drug Abuse, and the Hogg Foundation for Mental Health.
