ABOUT THE AUTHOR Debra L. Spears has seen first-hand the effects of trauma, crisis, grief and loss in her role as friend, Mother, Foster Mom, Chaplain and Minister. She retired after 30 years with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. Debra opened her home as an Emergency Foster Home. She nurtured one teenager and 50 children under age 5. Debra focused on self-care. She utilized her resources in grief counseling. In 2011, Debra accepted her call to preach the Gospel. She was motivated to become a better servant leader.
