Smith, Lona

Lona Smith grew up in Oklahoma and has lived in Dallas, Texas, Denver, Colorado, Los Angeles, California, upstate New York, and Florida. She is a graduate of Oklahoma Baptist University and attended the University of Oklahoma Medical School. She spent many years in scientific research in microbiology and molecular biology. It was in 1970, while working at UCLA and taking creative writing under Robert Kirsch book review editor for the Los Angeles Times for 25 years that her love of writing began.
