Cindy Emmet Smith studied Theater Arts in college and began her creative life in the theater. She spent a number of years as wardrobe mistress, giving her firsthand insight into Deirdre's life. She and her husband have recently begun to travel. This spring they explored the five Celtic Nations in the British Isles, and September found them in Maine on a Windjammer Cruise.
