Norbert Smith, or Doc Gator as his students called him, is a zoologist and spent most of his life studying alligators and other beautiful creatures God made. He has a B.S. degree in biology from Southwestern Oklahoma State University (1970), a Master's of Science degree in biology from Baylor (1972) and a Ph.D. degree in zoology from Texas Tech University (1975).
