Paul R. Smillie, a life-long Christian Scientist was born in Vancouver, B.C., Canada, in 1941. Later, when the family moved to California he completed primary class instruction when about 18 years of age, became a naturalized U.S. citizen and interrupted college for the Air Force and Vietnam.
