Karolyn Smardz Frost is a Toronto-born archaeologist and historian whose 1985 excavation of the Thornton and Lucie Blackburn site made history. Her works include "I've Got a Home in Gloryland", "Ontario s African-Canadian Heritage", and "The Underground Railroad". She currently holds the position of Senior Research Fellow for York University s Harriet Tubman Institute, and resides in Wolfville, Nova Scotia.
