Slavit, Ph. D. Michael R.

Michael R. Slavit, PhD, is a psychologist in private practice. He holds an AB in psychology from Brown University, an MA in counseling from the University of Rhode Island, and a PhD in counseling psychology from the University of Texas at Austin.

Before becoming a licensed psychologist, he had a wide range of work experiences, including construction laborer, taxi driver, lifeguard, and social caseworker. Now, although he is board certified in cognitive and behavioral psychology, he considers his most important credential to be the trust of his patients.
