Elise Skidmore is a native New Yorker, who has been writing poetry since she was a child, but she didn't venture into the world of fiction writing till she hit 40 and life began anew. She feels blessed to have had the best parents, husband, and children a woman could ask for, and the strong bonds of family are often the subject of her writing. She's had several short stories published. Her poetry has received kudos from NYT bestselling authors Diana Gabaldon and Karen White, among others.
