Dr. Janet Sims-Wood is the former chief librarian of the Moorland-Spingarn Research Center at Howard University. She currently serves as an associate librarian at Prince George's Community College in Maryland. She was a founding associate editor of SAGE: A Scholarly Journal on Black Women. Janet currently serves as national vice-president of the Association for the Study of African American Life and History. She has won numerous awards and grants for her research in African American history.
