Erin Shaw is a freelance writer and performer, who naively moved to New York City in the midst of the 2008 recession with dreams of gracing the Broadway stage. Once there, she learned this was a task, far more difficult than she anticipated, and so she started a princess party company to help her stay on her feet, while she worked as a nanny. While she never made it to Broadway, she wrote "Party Girl" as a way to fictionally chronicle her adventures in NYC.
