Shapiro, Robert Moses

Robert Moses Shapiro was born in Germany to parents from Chtzanow and Sosnowiec, Poland. He has conducted extensive archival research in Poland and Israel, and earned his doctorate at Columbia University. He teaches courses on Polish Jewry, Yiddish, and the Holocaust at Yeshiva University and history at the Ramaz School.
