Shahbazaz, Marzieh

Marzieh Shahbazaz is an author of Persian poetry and short stories. She was forced to leave Iran a few years after the 1979 revolution, when the country was engulfed by mass arrests and executions perpetrated by the Islamic Republic against opposition figures. Marzieh settled in Marietta, Georgia, where she continues to live today.
