Bharat S. Shah, M.D. is a retired physician. He has written several books on teaching or learning the North Indian languages like Sanskrit, Gujarati, and the Gujarati and Devanagari scripts. He has written English for the Grandma (in Gujarati), and An Introduction to Jainism. He published a documentary novel Sameepe in Gujarati, and its English version Dawn at Midnight, about his wife'e waiting for a liver transplant.
